Smells like something is burnin'

That would be the back of my legs. While planting the hydrangeas in front of the fence in the blazing hot sun, I charred the back of my legs! I am brilliant, just brilliant. I slathered my face, neck, shoulders, arms, but paid NO attention to my legs...

OUCH!

Chinese for dinner though, that is sure to lift this Queen's spirits, if only for a moment. I have a feelin' I'll be sleeping with wet towels on my legs, ugh! WHAT was I thinking????!!!

You have my sympathies!!! I did this when I was in Hawaii with my husband. I foolishly said that I NEVER burn on my legs (which I never had). After a 5 mile walk in the blazing hot sun and 4 hours, we got in the car, and I started to wonder why my legs felt so hot. Then it hit me. I could hardly walk for 4 days!

Slather on some cooling aloe gel if you have it. It's helped me through some rough times. :)

Take some Advil or other NSAID. It will help with the swelling. Trust me. :)

Ouch, I'm sorry. We've found a paste of baking soda/water helps immensely but looks horrendous.

Ouch!! I can sympathize...in high school I did similar, except it was the back of my knees. They were so sunburnt that they were BLACK on the first day of school. PAINFUL. Stupid band camp.

Oh my gosh! I've had the same thing happen to the tops of my feet! Horrible!!

I heard on the radio the other day that putting vinegar on a sunburn helps the pain go away. Of course, you will not smell so good, but it might work at night time.

Oh no! I hope it's feeling better soon. I always forget sunscreen on my legs too. :)

Oy, I feel your pain. For many years I was only two shades: lobster red, which would peel, then I would be back to white as a ghost.

Looking forward to seeing pictures of hydranges in front of pretty fence!
