Christmas Chronicle

Preparation for Christmas. Some of us go to church to celebrate the birth of the King.

Some of us left church early and walked home.  Then some of us walked back to church.  After dinner we opened our new jams, because everyone sleeps in new jams on Christmas Eve!

After everyone was in their jams we check on Santa's progress

Santa was in Ireland at this check in.  All were comfortable that Santa was coming so we read books.

Of course after reading the Grinch it was time for 'Twas the Night Before Christmas

Prepare Santa's snacks, a little bit of everything.

Then it was time for bed while visions of sugar plums danced in their heads

When we all went to bed the cradle was empty

And even days before it held a different occupant

And days before that, Baby Jesus was in a safe place in anticipation of his impending arrival

Safely put behind the manger
The morning of Christmas began with the confirmation that Santa had visited our cozy house:

While we waited for Auntie B and Gommy, we lit some candles

and played on our Leapsters

But as we got ready for breakfast

We got a call from Gommy.  Santa brought gifts to her house for M,W and O by mistake!

Then we commenced opening presents.  It lasted about 4.5 hours.  It was wonderful!  Everyone was gracious and thankful.
